Two
Georges Restaurant features a 150
seat waterfront dining establishment
serving seafood and steaks. With
two separate dining areas and two
separate bars. One family orientated
and one sports related, with happy
hours daily. It is definitely a
place to relax after 4 or 8 hours
of sport fishing. Many stories are
told by captains about the biggest
catch of the day and about the one
that got away.

Two
Georges Restaurant Review
Rating: Excellent
Comments: Well, for lack of our
readers coming through with any
review of the new Two Georges, I
took it upon myself last evening
to do the deed myself. Everybody
there knows how much I love the
place, so I vowed, as I wandered
in, after the Chamber Happy Hour,
that I would not reveal that they
were under the "test"
until I was all done, and give the
fairest review possible.
I
was not to be disappointed. First
off, comes the great service. On
seeing me, as I asked to see a menu,
the servers gently chided "You
know you are going to have Mary's
Conch Fritters." Well, how
well they remember! Yes, I ordered
the small portion of conch fritters,
and a mahi sandwich, blackened with
fries. The fish was moist and spicy,
portion great, (I ate way too much!)
and the service wonderful.
Two
Georges, before their renevations,
prided themselves on being a local
hangout, and after getting used
to the new layout, and increased
patronage from new diners, they
haven't seemed to loose their touch.
If you haven't been there since
their reopening, I highly recommend
the visit. They stay open late,
and have music there late night,
Thursday thru Saturday.

When
Hurricane Alley Raw Bar and Restaurant
first opened, the tropical storm
theme was a stretch, since Palm
Beach County hadn't been hit in
20 years. Now, the theme has new
significance. Not only did hurricanes
Frances and Jeanne immediately make
themed menu items such as The Warning,
a crab-and-shrimp salad, more relevant,
but the storms also added a surplus
of reality to the restaurant's décor.
Amid the driftwood and surfboards,
dozens of laminated local newspaper
headlines detail the fury of the
"mean season" Floridians
experienced last year.
Other hurricane-related menu items
take diners from The Depression,
a hand-carved turkey wrap ($6.95),
to The Aftermath, an entrée
of barbecued pork ($7.95). But the
real draw here is the weekday happy
hour -- 4-6 p.m. at the raw bar
-- offering oysters and clams at
$5 a dozen and $1.25 Yeunglings
to wash them down. No matter what
you get, put the Hurricane sauce,
the restaurant's signature garlic
mayonnaise, all over it. Or, for
a special treat, take the long way
to the dinner table; the Sea Mist
III, a drift-fishing boat, docks
nearby, and the Alley has the motto
"You hook 'em, we cook 'em
at no charge."
